Duties

Help
  • Performs clerical and administrative support of the marketing department as directed; answers phone, operates computer, color printer; delivers supplies as directed to MWR activities.
  • Operates print shop equipment such as printers, digital duplicator, stapler, folder, cutter, laminator, poster printer. Operates a digital camera.
  • Posts MWR programs events to the installation population through bulletin boards, flyers, banners and steel-framed signs at roadside, email, installation facility guides, displays, promotional calendars and other media
  • Distributes MWR advertisement and promotional material at approved locations and provides specific information on planned events to the general public and maintains a tracking system for work orders in order to meet deadlines.
  • Assists as directed to support the annual calendar of MWR events and activities.

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first 30 days of employment.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Ability to perform the duties described above such as: filing documents, organizing electronic and hard copy files, scheduling appointments, answering telephones, submitting time & attendance, requesting supplies as needed, performing inventory on current supplies, operating print shop equipment (printers, digital duplicator, stapler, folder, cutter, laminator, poster printer and digital cameras,. etc.*This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Best Qualified":

  • Possess one (1) year of working experience in event photography. *This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered best qualified.

  • This job is open to candidates who live in the local commuting area (U.S. Citizens and Non
    U.S. Citizens that live within 50 miles of Ft. Novosel, AL). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
