Summary

This position is located at the Underwood Golf Complex on Fort Bliss.

Duties

Help
  • Develops, recommends and enforces operating procedures for golf operations.
  • Assigns employees to specific duties for program requirements
  • Oversee inventory pro shop levels for program. Orders and receives pro shop merchandise.
  • Oversees and directs all golf tournament operations.
  • Rectrac/Golf Genesius POS knowledge preferred.

  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification.
  • The certification is acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required (i.e., ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Program).
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • A physical and health assessment is required.
  • Position is subject to a pre-employment physical.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Must have experience in the overall management of a golf facility and in the supervising of at least one function of a golf facility, such as pro shop, sale administration, planning and scheduling tournaments or establishing administrative procedures and policies. Experience may include funds accountability, requisitioning, and supply procedures.
  • Must have experience in the GHIN system and know all aspects of amateur golf rules and regulations.
  • Must have knowledge of golf-related equipment and merchandise.
  • Must have experience in all aspects of tournament operation.
  • Must have ability to manage and maximize a tee-sheet. A PGA Class -A membership is preferred.
  • Will be required to work an uncommon tour of duty.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Allowances and Differentials

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
