Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, assists with routine logistical tasks related to expendable and non-expendable supply and equipment, including receiving, inspecting, and accounting for items. Uses automated systems to maintain accurate inventory records. Assists with scheduled physical inventories, documents discrepancies, and prepares reports as directed by the Logistics Manager. Assists in accomplishing central warehousing duties, including maintaining the facility, supplies, equipment, and inventory stocks in an organized and efficient manner by following established standard warehousing practices; by performing housekeeping, preventive maintenance, stock rotation, storage space re-configuration, and ordering, receiving, and delivery functions, as directed. Assists with vehicle operations responsibilities, including operating unit vehicles; supporting the scheduling of vehicles for contract periodic and un-anticipated repair and maintenance; supporting operator training, licensing, and records maintenance; and assisting with the preparation and utilization of a variety of manual and automated data bases and management reports. Assists in the management of accountable property control, the central warehouse, and the services vehicle fleet. Serves as secondary Vehicle Control Officer (VCO), assisting the Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) with fleet management functions. Assists the Logistics Manager in the day to day operations, by providing support. Assists the Logistics Manager in day to day operations; providing general supply/logistics support, assisting with accountable property control and central warehouse management; assisting with the planning and documenting of supply requirements; and assisting with the management the equipment program. Assists with the daily operations of the services vehicle fleet, heavy equipment operators, property management, and the warehouse. Supports the planning, budgeting, and execution of new and replacement NAF Vehicles; assists with administering inspections, preventive maintenance (including corrosion control), and the overall upkeep of fleet vehicles, including "you-drive-it" vehicles. Assists with vehicle training, licensing, registration, and inspection programs. Assists with the coordination and execution of the vehicle replacement and procurement program. Prepares specifications for vehicles and out-of-cycle requests for vehicle repairs/replacements. Coordinates with local vendors for vehicle repairs, while under the direction of the Logistics Manager. Assists with the coordination of maintenance scheduling with local repair facilities. Assists in determining the return on investment for repairs versus replacement and advises management on appropriate courses of action. Assists with initial and annual safety inspections (as required by State of Hawaii). Ensures proper vehicle documentation is maintained, including required hard-copy and automated elements. Prepares required reports and paperwork. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is a position of trust.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have knowledge of governing supply and vehicle operations management regulations, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods is required. Must be able to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material to accomplish tasks and provide information to support problem resolution. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must be able to identify procedural problems and issues and effectively communicate them to the supervisor for resolution. Experience with basic knowledge of fleet operations is desirable. Experience with automated systems and databases, to include FleetMan, EESOH-MIS (Hazmat) and Services Agency Information Systems is highly desired. Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
