Duties

Help
  • The primary purpose of the position is to insure that the administrative needs of Director, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) are met.
  • Serves as the primary liaison with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) on matters relating to organization structure, the assignment of functional responsibilities, and personnel actions.
  • Incumbent plans, coordinates, analyzes, and evaluates DFMWR administrative missions and operations.
  • Coordinates personnel actions with the staff and provides liaison with the CPAC to resolve related issues and problems.
  • Knowledgeable of the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and initiates, coordinates, and/or reviews personnel actions implemented through the system.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Demonstrated knowledge of overall mission, functions, organization, objectives, procedures and their relationship to the administrative support activities of the DFMWR.
2. Knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to Human Resource Management.
3. Skill and ability to apply qualitative and/or qualitative analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations and substantive administrative support functions.
4. Ability in organizing and delivering briefings to managers/supervisors to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
5. Comprehensive oral communication skills and analytical writing skills.
6. Knowledge of a variety of data management systems.


In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

1. Possess extensive experience with: balance sheets; budgeting; contracting process, and the government purchase card (GPC) approval process.
2. Possess experience working with, initiating, reviewing, performing, facilitating, and/or tracking audits or internal audit requirements.
3. Possess experience working as a team lead on projects from conception to completion.
