Duties

Help

Serving as a Lead Facilities Project Manager GS-1601-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in Design and Construction Branch under the Facilities Management Division within Mission and Readiness Support Directorate located in Glynco, Gerogia.

Typical duties include:

  • Communicates and reports progress to the team on assignments, projects, program issues, milestones and deadlines for completion.
  • Identifies and validates training and training support facilities and infrastructure requirements to meet scheduled and potential training in support of the organization's strategic and operational plan, vision and values and integrates these in the work plans and objectives.
  • Coordinates periodic inspections of facilities, planning the need and timing of repairs, prepares cost estimates and sets budget priorities to obtain funding and implement projects.
  • Plans for overall program requirements including the following activities: budgeting and materials for major repairs and alterations, and job order work
  • Advises the Division Chief on the implications and feasibility of facility plans, proposals and recommendations.

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Serving and coordinating for facilities maintenance, repair, and construction activities. Participating in the development of plans and specifications for repairs, improvements, construction projects, and other job work orders to support programs.
