This vacancy announcement is for a Dual-Status Technician position which requires active membership in the New Jersey National Guard (uniformed military service). Official appointment is not effective until membership within the New Jersey National Guard is confirmed by the gaining Human Resources Office.

Duties

As an SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0132-13, you may be expected to accomplish the following::

  • Directs the activities of the Intelligence Collections, Analysis, Targeting, Systems and Training Readiness and Special Security Officer functions.
  • Serves as the Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) of the organization and exercises overall oversight of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs and that portion of the Defense Special Security System (DSSS) under the SIO's security cognizance
  • Directly or via representation, assures the ANG input is developed and incorporated into the USAF or Gaining Command-sponsored workshops and conferences convened to develop and/or review the written guidance and directives pertinent to AOC operations and training.
  • Assures that the Joint Force Commander is fully cognizant of pertinent intelligence developments.
  • Facilitates the design, implementation, and evaluation of intelligence collections, analysis, targeting, and dissemination methods and processes to actualize rapid exchange of intelligence information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

General Experience
Must have the following experience(s):

  • Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
Specialized Experience
Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.

Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
