Duties

Help
  • Provides expert-level overall application of the project scheduling system, ensuring projects coordination and compliance.
  • Works with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Program Analysts, and technical managers to ensure that all projects are identified and correctly entered in the project scheduling system.
  • Responsible for the control, development, and coordination of assigned programs and their documentation requirements to ensure data/document management.
  • Interprets policy and selects methods and procedures to execute the project program.
  • Reviews historical financial data and analyzes trends to validate project funding estimates.
  • Develops briefs to management on workload and workforce matters.
  • Analyzes the effectiveness of program operations in meeting established objectives on the distribution of work among positions and organizations.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Providing expert-level application and guidance on an automated information systems for project coordination; AND 2) Tracking resource usage trends to ensure project efficiency; AND 3) Evaluating historical financial data to forecast and validate project funding estimates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
