About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Golf Course on Patrick Space Force Base.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week. Must be able to life and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more.

Duties

Help

Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: Oct 24 2025, Nov 3 2025, and closing on Nov 13 2025. Announcement will close once position is filled. (Change dates as needed for the job announcement)

Performs an assortment of duties related to the starter and cart/bag storage area. Checks in golfers, assigns tee times and maintains proper order of play. Assists in the coordination and conduct of all scheduled tournaments and golf leagues. May assist Golf Course staff in preparing for and running tournaments, clinics, and other special events. Records and maintains daily statistics on number of rounds played, weather conditions and other recordable data. Issues tee times and provides patrons with information on golf course events and activities. Monitors and observes on course pace of play. Provides rules, information about the course, and offers assistance to golfers as needed or required. Removes electric carts from storage area and places in staging area for customer use. Issues cart keys to patrons after verifying payment. Explains course safety rules and regulations to patrons. Assists customers in loading and unloading bags on carts. Clubs stored in the bag storage bins will be cleaned after each use. Rental clubs will be cleaned and returned to their assigned slot after each use, reporting any damage to management. Cleans carts, fills sand buckets, and reconnects to chargers after use. Issues rental clubs and pull carts after verifying payment. Empties all trash containers on the course, driving range, clubhouse (inside and out), bag storage area and cart area. Delivers fresh drinking water to the course and driving range daily. Maintains and ensures all water coolers, port toilets and ball washers are clean and in proper working order. Retrieves balls from the driving range using a gasoline powered ball picker or by hand shagging. Cleans ball machine and returns all range ball buckets 10 their proper location. Monitors course activities and reports any infractions or problem to the General Manager, Assistant Manager or Superintendent. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of the rules of golf and golf etiquette. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions and be able to perform duties without constant supervision. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must and be able to lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must satisfactorily complete a T1 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
