Duties

Help

This position is located in the Department of Exhibits, Design, and Special Projects at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (HMSG), and reports to the Director of Exhibits, Design, and Special Projects.

In this position, you will:

  • Support procurement by preparing purchase orders, requisitions, and entering them into ERP; acting as Purchase cardholder; and reviewing transactions for completeness and compliance.
  • Support long-term procurement management by advising staff on procurement, acting as accountable property officer, developing written procedures for procurement practices.
  • Support budgeting and planning by tracking funds; running and reconciling financial reports; providing reporting and information to program managers.
  • Serve as timekeeper for the department, prepares administrative forms such as requests for building services, and independently tracks status of a variety of projects, correspondence, and requests.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service.  For this position, specialized experience is defined as providing budget, financial, and procurement support; processing and tracking financial transactions, making charge card purchases, using computer software programs such as Enterprise Resource Planning applications for Financials or Web Time/Attendance; developing spreadsheets; and working as members of a project team in a museum setting, providing budget tracking and procurement support to Project Managers

OR

Or Education:  Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
