Help
  • Manages a business activity. Develops, recommends and enforces operating procedures
  • Represents the activity to the public.
  • Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage/sales to make recommendations concerning services, promotion activities and revenue improvements.
  • Develops budgetary data. Evaluates financial statements, reviewing costs against revenues, advising supervisor of status and recommending improvements in merchandise lines, marketing, etc.
  • Supervises assigned staff.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. (Environmental requirements, licenses, background checks, etc.)
  • Eligible citizenship is U.S. citizen or non-U.S. citizen under Japan/U.S. SOFA agreement. U.S. citizens overseas under ordinary resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
  • Must obtain food handling manager (ServSafe Manager) certification within 90 days of employment. Certification must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • One (1) year specialized experience in managing a business
.OR
  • Four (4) years education above high school level in a related field.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  1. At least one year of experience supervising and/or managing the daily operations of a business with a high-volume food and beverage environment.
  2. At least one year of experience directly supervising personnel. Examples of direct supervision include but are not limited to scheduling, training, and evaluating performance.
  3. Experience that demonstrates the ability to maintain accurate financial and operational records.
  4. Experience that demonstrates strategic planning skills and innovation that will ensure financial viability and drive business growth. Examples include successful menu planning and successfully improving operational efficiency.
  5. Demonstrated experience working with Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory control, and cash accountability.
  6. Possess a food handling manager certification such as ServSafe Manager. A copy of your certification must be uploaded with your application.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living allowance (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
  • Post Allowance will be paid if eligible.
  • Living Quarter Allowance (LQA) is not authorized.
