This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 341 FSS Youth Center.

This position is considered regular part-time. You are guaranteed 20 hours, however could work up to 40 hours per week.

Help

  • Performs a variety of general office duties. Receives telephone calls, greets children/youth, parents and visitors, maintains front desk registry sheets and electronic tablet devices for all patrons and visitors, enrolls children into the Youth and/or School Age Care programs using Child Youth Program Business Management System (CYPBMS), determines appropriate fees to charge patrons based upon the published schedule.
  • Establishes, updates, and maintains office records of various types that may be needed or will assist in the efficient operation of the office.
  • Usage of the Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) system and 24 access will be required for the safety of the facility. Maintains an accurate count of children, youth, and teens in attendance.
  • Prepares and submits daily financial documentation, i.e. Consolidated/Cashier's Reports (AF Form 1876) to the NAF Accounting Office ensuring transaction accuracy.
  • Monitors, reviews, and maintains Child Youth Program Business Management System (CYPBMS) for accuracy, with patrons' payments, family files, and reports.
  • Report delinquent accounts and memberships.
  • Assist in investigating billing discrepancies and recommend corrective action.
  • Establishes and maintains practices, procedures, and databases that ensure maximum enrollment via military childcare (MCC) in center-based programs and tracks waiting list demographics and statistics.
  • Prepares and maintains time and attendance records in Services Employee Services Employee Timekeeping System (SETS) in accordance with established procedures and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.
  • Knowledge and or experience of the substantive programs of the organization as they relate to administrative and clerical support functions.
  • Experience of clerical practices and office routines to coordinate the work of the office.
  • Ability to apply practical knowledge of youth program planning concepts, principles, and methodology; to include youth activities regulatory requirements, policies and practices.
  • Ability to manage financial and physical resources of youth programs and in effectively organizing and utilizing available resources within the program framework.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, children and their parents.
  • Skill to use a variety of standard office automation software (e.g. Microsoft Office) to accomplish various office support functions, such as email, word processing, database input, spreadsheets, graphics, reports, etc.; including ability to use agency unique software programs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • Must satisfactorily complete an Installation Records Check Installation Records Check (IRC) and a State Criminal History Repository Check (SCHRC).
  • Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty.
