Duties

Help
  • Receives stock; checks for over, short or damaged shipments; completes receiving documents; and moves to storage areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Issue materials in accordance with established procedures. Verifies inventory and shipping documents; independently prepares shipping documents and related reports. Inventories assigned areas/materials as directed.
  • Drives various types of automobiles from sedans to passenger vans and trucks weighing up to 10,000 pounds to transport supplies, and materials on the installation. Assists with loading and unloading cargo and materials.
  • Ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking cargo papers and by visual observation. Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident.
  • Identifies and rotates stock including hazardous materials, ensuring special storage requirements have been met. May operate a forklift in storing and rotating stock. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
  • Foreign overseas allowances, post allowance, and differentials will not be paid.
