Duties

Help
  • Responsible for answering phones, waiting on customers, fitting customer with skis and/or snowboards. Assists and monitors the customers on the ski or tubing lift for safety, to ensure correct approach and usage of equipment.
  • Assists with providing various services to customers, to include assist operations of snack bar and cleanup to ensure presentation of chalet is in good order.
  • Collects fees, issues, receives, sells or rents merchandise, sports equipment or tools, (such as skis, boots, poles and sleds), and provides facility and program information to patrons.
  • Receives returned items, inspecting for obvious damage and missing parts and maintains recreation area, tools and equipment. May operate snowmobile for transportation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.

  • Must be 18 years of age by date of appointment to meet state law requirements.
  • Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Schedule will be based on needs of the activity. Nights weekends and holidays are required.
  • Driver’s license will be required if operating government vehicles.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. In accordance with the Fort McCoy Collective Bargaining Unit Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay are not authorized
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
