About the Position: Serve as a Construction Control Representative responsible for an assigned function of surveillance of contract construction operations.
Make controlling interpretations of intent of plans and specifications.
Responsible for surveillance, controlling, and monitoring the construction program for major military projects.
Review and analyze plans and specifications to gain familiarity with the project to ensure the feasibility of the construction aspects prior to start of work.
Monitor the provisions of the contractor safety program for compliance.
Assist in negotiating field changes.
Confer with contractor's staff to settle disputes and disagreements on-site.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must be willing to travel 25% of the time for this position.
This position requires a pre-employment physical exam due to the physical requirement of the position.
Qualifications

GS-10 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service which includes Overseeing, managing, and inspecting construction work.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal Service which includes Overseeing, managing, and inspecting construction work AND Performing detailed quality assurance functions for all aspects of construction.
