Duties

Help

Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the daily operation and maintenance of Community Center program facilities. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Sets-up recreation areas for scheduled activities, records attendance, schedules room and facility reservations, takes payment for special events and classes, notifies participants of schedule changes, checks out game equipment, decorates community center for special events, activities or parties, assists with group activities within several different facilities, checks the established safety system of indoor and outdoor community center facilities and areas to include tools and equipment, posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about Item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled, takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment, and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performs specifically assigned tasks and answers the telephone and greets patrons as they enter the facility. Collects, safeguards and deposits fees at the close of business day. Assists in conducting monthly inventories. May be required to open and close facilities. Works an uncommon tour of duty to include nights and weekends. Performs other related duties as assigned.
