Duties

Help

Responsible for maintenance of ODR rental and programming equipment, supplies, and inventory. Issues recreational equipment including trailers, RV's, bounce houses, camping gear, watercraft, and other equipment, etc. in support of customer needs. Determines range and depth of equipment items availability based on customer interest. Assists with the planning and development of programs/events to stimulate customer engagement and equipment utilization. Prepares publicity releases through multiple social media platforms and the utilization of the base Marketing Office. Oversees equipment maintenance/repair to ensure continued serviceability and extended use. Initiates repair and procurement requests. Establishes controls to maintain equipment accountability. Administers a resale outlet for the equipment issue. Designs, establishes, and maintains facility layout to provide an attractive display/service area and neat orderly maintenance/storage area. Monitors cash handling procedures and documentation/collects, deposits, and verifies all funds. Provides consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service. Drives one or more vehicles to include passenger vehicle, passenger van, pickup trucks towing travel and equipment trailers, and water/snow recreational motor vehicles on the basis of specific assignments and schedules. Reads maps and judges' road, traffic, water, snow and weather conditions to determine the shortest and safest route. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience working with a wide range of recreational equipment and rentals is highly desirable. Knowledge of basic maintenance and safety procedures is desired. Applicant must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing and possess skill in dealing with the public. Knowledge of cash handling and fund protection procedures are required. Applicant must be physically able to frequently lift, handle and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
