Duties

Help
  • Assists the Business Manager in directing the operations and supervision of a food serve facility, with up to 12 employees; Checks work in progress to ensure compliance with established methods.
  • Orders and receives supplies, stores and stocks supply items in all assigned facilities.; Responsible for cleaning, inventory, stocking and organizing each facility on a daily basis; Performs food service and cashiering duties as required.
  • Completes cash reports, and makes daily deposits; Maintains clean and orderly work areas; Orients new employees to work situations, compliance with health and safety standards, proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Provides information to workers regarding procedures, policies, written instructions and other work directives; Occasionally may be required to work in any of the food service facilities when necessary; Provides administrative support as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must be able to work uncommon tour of duty (possible nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a copy must be provided at time of application.
  • Work requires the ability lift and carry objects weighing 30-60 pounds.
  • A food handler's certificate is required within 6 months of employment.
  • The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.

Qualifications

1. Must have cash handling experience to include direct handling of cash items, and use of cash accountability control methods.
2. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment.
3. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred are those candidates that have experience in supervising and training staff.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

  • Incentives will not be paid.
