Duties

Help
  • You will serve as an IT Specialist for Applications Software and perform work that involves the design, development, modification, documentation, testing, and operational and maintenance support of new or existing custom educational applications.
  • You will plan and execute complex IT-related assignments using conventional approaches and techniques independently and as a project team member.
  • You will develop, test, document and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation.
  • You will gather, analyze, and document functional business requirements by meeting with customers either individually or by meeting with groups of customers.
  • You will validate and test application software development quality, logic and functionality by following black-box standards of testing from the customer perspective.
  • You will write and maintain application and technical documentation.
  • You will work with customers/end users to support, develop, test and troubleshoot applications during the entire software development life-cycle; analysis, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment maintenance.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (671), proficiency level (Intermediate) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1) Testing, diagnosing and resolving complex application, networking, and client device problems and issues, and post-deployment customer service support; 2) Performing administrator work assigning profiles and permission sets; 3) Tracking user requests and troubleshooting to identify reported issues; 4) Translating and interpreting functional requirements into database designs and application prototypes; 5) Utilizing software engineering standard templates to document customer functional requirements. NOTE: All experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for the position.

This position has been designated as a Cyber Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role of (System Testing and Evaluation) proficiency level(INTERMEDIATE) and, as a condition of employment, the incumbent of the position is required to maintain qualifications in accordance with DON Cyber Workforce Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
This designation requires the incumbent to:
1. The incumbent participate in a continuous learning (CL) program as described in SECNAVINST 5239.20A and SECNAV M-5239.2. An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous learning must be documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
2.The incumbent must obtain the required credentials within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for DCWF role of (671-System Testing and Evaluation) proficiency level (INTERMEDIATE). For more information, please review SECNAV M 5239.2 Chapter 3, paragraph b (1) (g) 1.

Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
