This position is in the Wyoming Air National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters.

Serves as the principal advisor to the Adjutant General and/or Assistant Adjutant General for Air on a broad range of matters concerning the United States Air Force and Air National Guard.

Executes delegated command authority granted by the Adjutant General. Represents the Air National Guard for all Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) and Joint Operations. Broad program responsibilities also include special Air National Guard programs or initiatives such as State Partnership Programs, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program, Suicide Prevention, Equal Employment Opportunity, Family Readiness, and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Oversee the development, execution, and evaluation of programs and policies pertaining to the command, control, operation and management of Air National Guard in the State.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members.
Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume.
Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt.

May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial and one-year supervisory probation period.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.

Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized.
PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives. If selected, you will be required to relocate at your own expense.
Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Requires a SECRET security clearance; the incumbent of this position must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
2. Position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
4. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contribute to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
5. May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.
6. Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact on the environment. Responsible for maintaining awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.

Qualifications

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
Primary consideration will be made from Areas 2, 4, and Area 6 (if eligible).

Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience, education or training which provide a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (e.g., GS-13). Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience in preparing written communications and oral presentations.

NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

If relying on your education to meet qualification requirements:

Completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff College, Air and Army War College, National Security Management Course and others of comparable level will be credited at the rate of 1 month of education for 2 months of specialized experience.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
