Duties

Help

Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar, keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons.
Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Able and willing to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation, alcohol server class, and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.
Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
Meet state/local age requirements (21) for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment.
A physical and a health requirement are required.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must:
1. Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Highly Preferred

Minimum of one year experience as a full-service bartender in a nightclub or restaurant setting.

Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.

PCS Costs

Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authroized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials

This is a pay-banded position.
Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
