Duties

Help

Manages a variety of studies of systems and processes with the MCCS, documenting findings in writing and highlighting methods to increase efficiencies and productivity by use of charts, graphs and other visual tools.  Evaluates output in the form of reports and identifies and recommends improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency throughout MCCS.  Monitors and conducts observations and tests of inventories to ensure compliance with regulations.   Plans, develops, and conducts program analyses concerning all aspects of current or projected operating programs for actual or potential effectiveness in achieving planned goals and objectives; advising programs on proper Internal Controls and Risk Management.  Develops, maintains, and monitors reporting systems affecting programs.  Conducts program surveys, audits, projects, etc., and provides advisory services on issues related to programs.  Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, and regulations for potential impact on program objectives (risk management), operating policies, work operations and progress.  May coordinate submission of Marine Corps Risk Management and Internal Control Program Evaluations; including identifying, testing, and recommending effective Internal Controls and identifying/recommending effective procedures to mitigate risks to MCCS activities and programs.  May conduct cash counts of MCCS activities.  

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.  Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.  Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.  Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems.  Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.  Takes action to solve problems quickly.  Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.  

Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.  

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

  1. A four-year degree in Accounting, Business, or Financial Management; OR three years of demonstrated experience in Auditing, Internal Control, Program Analysis, Risk Management, or Fraud Investigation; OR three years' experience demonstrating familiarity with DoD management policies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to analyze and develop recommendations for improvement in MCCS operations.
  2. Must have knowledge of basic statistical, accounting and budget principles and techniques.
  3. Must have the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with others.
  4. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

    This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
