Duties

Help
  • Operate agricultural and industrial tractor with towed or mounted equipment to clean area and properly dispose of debris.
  • Operate 5-ton dump truck to move and load dirt, beauty bark, grounds refuse and other materials.
  • Operate motor vehicles on public roads and highways as well as installation roads.
  • Operate power tools such as chain saws, blowers, vacuum blower, weed eaters, edger's, power hedgers to trim hedges and prune shrubs and trees.
  • Maintain all documentation correctly for review by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

  • This position requires a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver's license that is not suspended or revoked. -The selectee for this position must be able to obtain and maintain this licensure for continued employment.
  • This position requires the use of personal protective equipment to include a respirator.
  • This position requires that the selectee obtain and maintain a valid Forklift Operator certificate or license up to 10,000 pounds within 3 months after date of hire.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 pounds in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position requires the employee to be available and report to duty during severe weather events and emergency situations

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Tractor Operator ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common tasks of a Tractor Operator. I can operate an agricultural tractor and adjust towed equipment for proper heights, depth, spacing and spreading prior to beginning the work assignment for an even disbursement of fertilizer, chemicals, seeds and other lawn care needs. I utilize a light truck to properly dispose of debris and perform routine operator maintenance on equipment such as adding oil and gas and tightening loose bolts. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical effort: Work requires considerable sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and other awkward and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries item weighing up to 45 pounds and occasionally lifts heavier items. Frequently pushes heavy equipment and other material.
Working conditions: Duties are performed outdoors with exposure to temperature extremes and all types of weather conditions, exposure to dust, dirt and mud, cuts, bruises, back strains; injury from flying debris from hand and power tools. Pest control work involves exposure to toxic vapors, liquids and powders; exposure to insects that may carry diseases and insect bites and stings. Must be able to wear a respirator and use other personnel protective equipment (PPE).
