THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY), Position Description Number D2003P01 and is part of the CO JFHQ G1, National Guard.

The purpose of this position is to serve as a personnel supervisor and advise in one or more of the following branches: Education, Automation, Retirement, Boards, Enlisted, Officer, Health Services, Plans and Mobilization Readiness.

Duties

Help

Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules. Assigns work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs. Provides advice, guidance, and direction to employees on a wide range of military human resources and administrative issues. Interviews candidates for positions and selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO objectives. Primary advisor to all levels of management that apply to all military personnel management. Oversees the development and administration of multiple military programs in order to maintain or increase overall personnel readiness. Responsible for military personnel management dispersed throughout the State. Coordinates, convenes, and/or participates in one or more of the following boards: Selective Retention, Qualitative Retention, Active Service Management Board, Officer Assignment, Officer Career Management, Select Train Educate and Promote, Standby Advisory, Awards, ect. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Must be a current Permanent GS-11 Dual Status Military Technician with the Colorado Army National Guard.
  • Must hold the grade of O-4 or O-5.
  • Submit all required documentation.

Qualifications

Military Grades: O-4 or O-5

1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below.

3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience.

Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience planning and scheduling work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution, set and adjusted short-term priorities, and prepared schedules.
2. Experience assigning work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs.
3. Experience overseeing the development and administration of multiple military programs in order to maintain or increase overall personnel readiness.

Education

Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
