You will work and supervise a group on a variety of marine crafts. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of highly complex complete operational control systems that are typical of the work of an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic.

Leading teams to install and put into operation major electronic and electrical control systems that are new to the fleet or that are major modifications of existing systems.
Troubleshooting and repairing new systems during the operational tests and following procedures to cope with and identify unforeseen defects, as well as submitting changes to existing schematics to reflect any corrections or changes.
Constructing interface devices and modifications to the equipment from sketches and verbal instructions in order to refine the new system operations.
Installing and upgrading (including PC software) advanced Programmable Logic Controllers.
Installing/calibrating/aligning propulsion systems (diesel, diesel electric DC, turbo, and turbine), electronic governor controls and systems (used to properly maintain speeds for engine propulsion and power generation requirements, variable pitch controls, AC/DC drive system controls, electronic switchboards and power generation plants, electronic controls and actuating systems, steering systems installs/calibrations/alignments, deck machinery motors and other gear.
Utilizing the following to complete tasks: blueprints, schematics, drawings, sketches, manufacturer's instructions, specifications, technical manuals, verbal instructions and experience.
