Plan, develop, formulate, present, defend, execute, and review all fiscal programs.

Develop specific fiscal programs to support plans and objectives.
Develop and implement budgetary reports.

Responsible for ensuring the complete and accurate classification and reporting of financial transactions in accordance with regulatory guidelines and directives
This position has a TDY or business travel requirement of 5% of the time to various locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance on all phases of budget formulation; analyzing budget data to ensure compliance with prescribed laws, policies and regulations; presenting budgetary briefings to senior leadership; and utilizing financial systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) or similar financial systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Education
