Help

The position is located in the Brand Strategy and Publishing Department. The position will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining the overall email marketing program. In addition, leads on marketing our educational, membership, and
retail programs to ensure that brand strategy goals are met.

This position designs and creates compelling email content, including newsletters, promotional emails, and transactional messages. Assists in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including creating content, managing social media, and tracking results. Creates, designs, and optimizes various email lists, templates, and campaigns. Designs and implements an overall email marketing strategy and messaging. Writes newsletters and proofreads for clarity, grammar, and spelling. Develops and executes successful email marketing strategies that drive engagement. Identifies target audiences and grows email list.

Qualifications

At the GS-11 candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-1001-11. For this position, candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-9 level in the Federal service, using the Mail Chimp application to set up campaigns and automations.

OR

A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

At the GS-12 candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-1001-12. For this position, candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, ng the List Acquisition and Mail Campaigns functions in Mail Chimp to communicate with constituents AND assuring communications compliance with federal law.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
