Duties

Help
  • Serves as an expert advisor to management concerning the analysis and evaluation of major administrative technical and program aspects of substantive mission-oriented programs.
  • Establishes schedules for planning, coordination and accomplishment of work to facilitate the acquisition and/or work process.
  • Initiates action to ensure that cost, schedule procedures and policies are current and implemented.
  • Provides financial advisory services for a major segment of the PEO/PM budget for one or more funding lines or type of funds.
  • Performs analysis, evaluation and oversight of all aspects of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of major Project Management (PM) programs.
  • Renders advice and assistance to the PEO/PM and higher-level staff pertaining to assigned programs, objectives, problems, funding considerations, etc.
  • Identifies areas needing emphasis and exercises leadership to ensure programmed system and subsystem time, cost and performance schedules are accurately established and met.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02).1) Provides financial guidance to managers to ensure programs adhere to organizational policies and procedures; 2) Utilizes technical knowledge of automated systems to execute funding requirements; 3) Analyzes data to develop solutions for budgetary issues; and 4) Communicates program funding status to identify areas needing emphasis and to ensure costs and schedules are accurately planned and executed.
