This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, Position Description Number D0483000 and is part of the CO Army Aviation Support Facility, National Guard.
Responsibility for the performance of the full range of aircraft maintenance duties including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, and ground testing of assemblies, system, and surfaces for one or more types of military aircraft, fixed and rotary wing. Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on assigned aircraft to include pre-inspection, daily inspection, pre- and post-flight inspections and such special inspections as required, including fuel contamination checks, oil sampling, an inspection of onboard emergency equipment. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and performs unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft. May be required to perform such additional duties as firefighting, aircraft crash/rescue, snow removal, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Must be a current Permanent Dual Status Military Technician with the AASF.
Must hold the grade of E-3 thru E-9.

Qualifications
Military Grades: E-3 thru E-9
1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.
2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below.
3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume.
Must have at least 18 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification.
2. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow.
3. Experience instructing lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
