Duties

Help

Introduction: This position is assigned to the Engraving department at the Hobby Complex.

Performs and assists in the operational maintenance of the Consolidated Hobby Complex Recreational Facility. Assists customers in all areas of the center and provides information on recreational activities and scheduled events. Required to operate a cash register. Assists customers with the ordering selections of plaques, name tags and gift items for engraving, UV printing and/or sublimation. Constructs engraved/sublimation items using both powered and non-powered tools and equipment. Cuts plates to the specifications of customer orders. Assembles parts to complete a finished product. Inspects all work for accuracy and workmanship. Performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure these units are in proper working order. Responsible for the inventory, organization and cleanliness of the engraving shop areas. Provides input pertaining to order requirements and stock levels for both resale and supply items. Ensures safety rules are instructed and adhered to by customers, personnel and volunteers. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have skills necessary to operate basic cash register transactions and conduct inventories. Experience in the use of engraving, sublimation and UV printing equipment is desirable. Knowledge of varied and/or advance functions of graphic computer software is recommended. This is a position of trust.

Conditions of Employment: Incumbent must satisfactorily complete a favorable Tier 1 background
investigation.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
