Duties

Help
  • You will provide detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management.
  • You will perform analytical research for special project and reports, such as resolving reporting and intransit discrepancies.
  • You will research data, compile, and produce reports on space utilization, storage compatibility and New Explosive Weight (NEW) and railcar location.
  • You will review incoming Fleet return material and makes determinations concerning utilization to meet load plan shortages.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

*Experience providing logistics support for ordnance items and their component parts.
*Experience using automated systems to verify availability of materials.
*Experience performing inventory reconciliation and trend analysis.
*Experience collecting and compiling data for required reporting of inventory statistics.
*Experience analyzing ammunition stock levels to determine overages or shortages.

GS-07:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

*Experience assisting with logistics support for ordnance items and their component parts.
*Experience using automated systems to verify availability of materials.
*Experience assisting with inventory reconciliation.
*Experience analyzing ammunition stock levels to determine overages or shortages.

Education

GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree;
or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;
or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement

Incumbent may be required to move items not exceeding 25 pounds, climb ladders. long periods of standing, stooping, bending and stretching.
