About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Eagle Creek Golf Course on Dover Air Force Base.

As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis.

Duties

Help

Brings carts from cart storage for rental purposes and places carts in cart storage when carts are finished being rented. Cleans carts, refuel, inventory and verbally reports any damage immediately to a supervisor. Picks up driving range golf balls and buckets when required. Places golf bags which are in club storage onto carts and vice-versa when finished. Required to do spot wipes before placing bag in club storage rack. Takes water, ice, and drinking cups onto golf course for drinking purposes when required. Performs seasonal tasks as required, such as sweeping pavements, cart storage shed, picking up litter, emptying trash cans and vacuuming. In the Pro Shop, checks customer identification, signs out rental equipment, assists customers in selecting merchandise, receives payment and rings up sales of merchandise, green fees, rental fees, etc. Sells beverages/pre-wrapped sandwiches, restock shelves, i.e. soda and beer on course and marshals as needed. Performs other related duties as it pertains to the position.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing 30lbs or more.
  • Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
  • This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
No prior training or work experience is required. Knowledge of the game of golf is not essential but helpful. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing 30lbs or more. Must satisfactory complete a pre-employment physical. Works outdoors and indoors. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use."
