This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
This position has a requirement to lift up to 44lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid CPR certificate , which will be scheduled after hire and taken on work time
Qualifications

Specialized Experience - Qualified candidates will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in federal service with monitoring visitor activity and enforcing park rules and regulations.

Education: Have completed the requirements for an undergraduate degree: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours of related course work in natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archaeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of specialized experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.).
