Duties

Help
  • Assists the Budget Branch Chief in the preparation, justification, and presentation of input to the annual command operating budget for Evans Army Community Hospital.
  • Develops the framework, prepares instructions, and establishes procedures within which budget estimates are to be made; renders advice to Department Chiefs, Deputy Commanders, and the Budget Branch Chief, concerning the operating budget.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly Resource Management reports, monthly reconciliation of General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) in relation to execution plan.
  • Establishes the fund distribution for various appropriations.
  • Assumes responsibility for tracking earning status of all reimbursable accounts.

  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Financial Management Certification Level 2 is required within 2 years of being hired. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
  • This is a financial Management level 2 Certified position in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F- Financial Management, Section 1051, amending 10 Unites States Code, section 1599d.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which demonstrates experience in developing and providing budget policy and guidance, formulation, execution, and financial advisory services to an organization; Providing oversight of operational funds and reimbursable funds for major programs; Analyzing trends and recommending alternate courses of action to managers to assist in planning and scheduling the funding for programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
