Summary


This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at the Bowling Center, within the Community Services Flight on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas.

This position is considered Flexible. The position is not guaranteed any hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

Help

  • Operates the control desk, collect fees, sells pro shop and counter merchandise.
  • Insures that the counter merchandise is stocked and available. Conducts inventories.
  • Insures that spectator area and score tables are kept clean and orderly, that inside and outside areas are properly policed.
  • Secures the safe and building upon closing. Insures that unauthorized personnel do not enter the areas behind the setter equipment and sales counter. Calls Security Forces in case of disturbance. Prepares a report for the manager, of any incident.
  • Monitors league play, insures that lanes are clear and cleaned before league play. Insures that customers are treated in a courteous manner and give assistance.
  • Insures that equipment is not abused and that house balls and shoes are not removed from Bowling Center. Clears minor pinspotter problems such as ball calls and pin jams. Complies with Federal Dram Shop statues.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge of bowling activities, rules, and procedure is desirable, but not required. Knowledge of cash register operating is desirable, but not required. Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate. Must be able to satisfactory complete a Tier-1 background investigation.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
