As a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-1910-11, you will you will plan, organize, develop objectives, and oversee activities of the Quality Assurance Division. Establish, revise, or review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff. Oversee and manage the maintenance quality assurance program and any other related programs for the Wing. Plan work for accomplishment by subordinates, and set priorities. Balance organization needs with overall mission requirements and resource interests. Provide training to workforce with regard to maintenance practices of aircraft and associated equipment. Manage maintenance and inspection effort involved in keeping aircraft airworthy and combat ready. Establish, develop, and evaluate performance standards for subordinate personnel. Establish employee work schedules, deadlines, and production/inspection priorities. Provide employee development and training. Manage, review and develop maintenance policy, advising supervisors and employees on policy and maintenance matters. Make decisions and recommendations on technical concerns presented by supervisors. Interpret Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, engineering drawings, product specifications, Air Force Occupational Safety and Health environmental standards, public law, and locally developed policy. Evaluate and assess systems, subsystems, integrated systems/subsystems, or components for conformance to applicable technical data, engineering drawings, standards and specifications. Manage Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program. Direct administration, evaluation, and coordination of a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardization, and inspection program for the maintenance organization. Ensure personnel use proper data collection techniques and procedures for evaluation, inspection, audit programs, databases and spreadsheets to capture and catalog data elements for trending, cross-tell, and benchmarking. Perform other duties as assigned. RANK REQUIREMENT:
Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs (i.e., supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products concerned with the systematic prevention of defects and non-conformances, the identification of unsatisfactory trends and conditions, and the correction of factors which may contribute to defective items). Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 36 months experience involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in the area of specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e. special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
