Summary

Duties

Help

As a SUPERVISORY TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT PLANNER at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Serves as a Program Manager providing senior full spectrum live, virtual, and constructive subject matter expertise and command, control, communications, and computer subject matter expertise to designated conferences, meetings, tests, demonstrations, presentations and events.
  • Responsible for the integration of new models, simulations, and communication systems and networks into the joint training environment.
  • Reviews joint training exercise program for accuracy, completeness of technical details, and conformance to established policy, to include correspondence, and other documentation requiring concurrence or approval of the Director.
  • Provides primary supervision for the scheduling and utilization of technical control spaces within the Suffolk compound in support of Joint, Service and combatant command training and demonstrations.
  • Provides accountability for all technical equipment used to support events, tests and demonstrations, including Joint Live Virtual and Constructive (JLVC), Joint Theater Level Simulation (JTLS), Joint Training Tools (JTT), and JTEN equipment in technical control spaces.
  • Supervises the staff of the modeling and simulation (M&S), and command, control, communications, and computer (C4) event planners

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:

  • Applied Program Management to the planning and execution of technical, modeling and simulation (M&S), and command, control, communications, and computer (C4) support for Joint Training directed events.
  • Participates in the development of budget and personnel staffing direction levels for all joint training modeling and simulation (M&S), and command, control, communications, and computer (C4) services.
  • Provides planning, integration, operation and maintenance of technical command and control (C2) infrastructure, systems, networks, and models and simulations to support Combatant Command (CCMD) and Service Joint training events.
  • Supports large-scale training events conducted on a global scale that impact the readiness of Combatant Command (CCMD), military organizational structures, functions, operations, and relationships within the U. S. Government and Agencies throughout DoD.
