Plans, organizes, coordinates and administers the day-to-day operation of the Automotive Hobby Shop to ensure fiscal integrity is provided to all eligible customers. Develops and maintains ways and means of maximizing customer interest and utilization of a well-rounded program which selecting and pricing of resale merchandise, supervision and training of staff. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of MWR vehicles to ensure they are maintained in a safe and efficient operational condition.
Promotes effectiveness and efficiency using strong organizational and budgetary guidelines and internal controls necessary to provide reasonable assurance of accomplishing management goals and objectives. Meets suspense's on budget, information request, etc. Maintains established stock levels of merchandise to reconcile discrepancies. Is liable for losses of funds and/or property where dishonesty, fraud or negligence is established on the part of the incumbent.
Ensures that training programs are established that will inform employees and teach them to be thoroughly knowledgeable of their particular duties. Ensures compliance with all OSHA standards and environmental regulations. Cooperates with Industrial Hygiene, installation Safety and Fire inspectors and advises required. Advises staf a new hazards in the workplace or new environmental regulations. Keeps abreast of the proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste and complies with all regulations. Implements and ensures high standards of safety in all areas of responsibility. Assists in the Hazard Communication program by obtaining and organizing MSDS's for all hazardous materials in the shop.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and possess a minimum of three (3) years experience in automotive repair and one year documented supervisory experience.
Must be able to plan work and assign priorities, follow complex repair manuals, diagnose problems and initiate the necessary course of action.
Must possess the ability to operate a variety of specialized light and heavy tools/equipment necessary for automotive maintenance and repair.
Must be skilled in the current technique of operating a financial establishment including some experience with point-of-sale cash register equipment, basic computer knowledge and basic accounting and budgeting functions.
Employment is conditional upon the successful completion and screening of a required National Agency Check (NAC).
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license at all times as travel to other locations within the region is required in the performance of duties.
Must be able to obtain a Mobile Air-Conditioning certificate within 90 days of hire and maintain certification at all times thereafter. This position is subject to an irregular tour, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
