Duties

Help
  • Serve as an Antiterrorism Staff Officer for US Army Pacific, G34 Protection Directorate.
  • Technical authority on antiterrorism and force protection program requirements.
  • Conduct AT threat, vulnerability, criticality and risk assessments and analysis for inclusion in the US Army Pacific Antiterrorism regulation and strategic plan.
  • Subject matter expert for policies and procedures governing antiterrorism protection disciplines that include physical, information, operational, personnel and industrial security.
  • Conduct antiterrorism and force protection surveys, assessments, and assesses force protection policies and systems.
  • Monitor command protection posture.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes drafting policies and procedures governing application of antiterrorism programs, implementing risk management strategies and antiterrorism strategic plans; and creating program requirements and training for force protection plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Position may be made permanent without further competition.
