Help
  • Serving as Branch Chief responsible for software lifecycle management of automated information technology systems that share item, customer and vendor data or other forms of information with individual users and systems.
  • Overseeing the activities of subordinates in system requirements analysis, testing, training, implementation, and sustainment of automated information technology systems.
  • Determining skills and resources needed (people, tools, equipment, methods, and procedures) to meet upcoming needs, developing and executing training, hiring and acquisition plans to ensure the right resources are available to meet those needs.
  • Providing program management, oversight, and strategic direction for the logistics information technology systems as well as data sharing policies and practices that support DLA, industry, and NATO.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement, including supporting and mentoring workforce in process improvement initiatives related to automated information technology systems.
  • Exercising leadership and overall supervisory responsibility for program analysts and staff.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Directs a variety of complex assignments for all business systems/applications programs, from receipt of the requirement throughout the product's lifecycle including software acquisition and software development using Waterfall, Agile or a combination of both methodologies to meet requirements.
  • Oversees acquisition activities to include the development and execution of contracting actions in support of the Program Management Officer (PMO).
  • Develops workload reporting requirements for the workload tracking application to include functional, reporting policies and procedures used in the customer requirements request tool.
  • Advises the organization Director on all matters pertaining to human resource planning and management, training, strategic and business planning, and a variety of operational support services.
  • Serves as an expert in a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods used to assess and improve complex management processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of and responsibility for information technology systems and applications, including, but not limited to, those that provide functionality in: identification of supply items (government and commercial identifiers), identification of customer/vendor master data, item unique identifiers, management of customer supporting activities, and management of knowledge and data sharing capabilities, and comprehensive knowledge of requirements definition functions associated with the design, development, documentation, test and integration, and sustainment of information technology systems requirements to meet customer needs.
  • Skill and ability to direct and supervise employees and perform planning and leadership practices and techniques to provide guidance and oversight of assigned area(s).
  • Thorough, comprehensive knowledge of information technology principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of functional requirements for business areas and systems.
  • Expertise on industry standard tools, methods and procedures for requirements definition, necessary to direct assigned area(s) and subordinates.
