Duties

Help
  • Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
  • Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts
  • Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
  • Must be in possess of a valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to work rotating schedules that include nights, weekends and holidays. Must work special events as needed.
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR Orientation Course, Customer Service.

Qualifications

Work experience which involved dealing with the general public.

Highly Qualifying Criteria:

1. Possess sound customer service, business management and marketing skills
2. Previous experience working in a civilian or military physical fitness facility with demonstrated understanding of fitness equipment usage and maintenance
3. Possess certifications in CPR, First Aid and AED. (Copies must be uploaded with application)
4. Demonstrated communication, organization and planning skills
