The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for performing project management and oversight. The PM will ensure the various OIT departments and Court offices are properly tracking and completing project work in a timely manner in accordance with the defined project plan. The PM is responsible for creating and maintaining the project planning documents while ensuring stakeholder involvement and awareness.
The PM position will prepare reports on progress, areas that need attention or escalation and areas that may cause the project to be delayed. Any delays will be escalated to the Deputy Director of Operations.
The PM assists the Deputy Director in ensuring all projects are up to date. The PM provides data to populate the OIT Project Dashboard to ensure all organizations within OIT and the associated Court offices are kept up to date with the latest project status.
Working as an IT Project Manager requires a diverse skill set. Aside from having a thorough understanding of all aspects related to project management, the PM must have a working knowledge of various areas within OIT. These knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA) will allow the PM to comfortably communicate with various OIT personnel on tasks and timelines. Secondly, the KSA list includes the required attribute of working well with others.
The PM must have the technical skill set to interact with and provide guidance as well as discuss technical issues with the customer.

Qualifications
Project Managers coordinate the budget, schedule, and other details of a project. They lead the project and provide input and project guidance for the technical staff.
KSA:
Must be able to communicate with clients and technical staff to determine project requirements and objectives
Communication skills should include verbal, written (emails), and reporting
Must have experience developing and executing project plans to include information such as objectives, funding, schedules, and staff
Assist with the assignment of duties or responsibilities to project staff
Must be able to communicate with project staff to identify and resolve problems
As appropriate, monitor project costs to stay within budget
Must be able to monitor project milestones and deliverables
Must be comfortable to propose, review, and present modifications to project plans
Must be capable of producing and distributing project related documents
Must have proven experience with MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Additional Skills or Knowledge:
The PM should have experience in a wide array of OIT disciplines to improve project planning and meeting discussions (i.e. DevOps, various IT Infrastructure components, Cyber Security frameworks such as NIST RMF)
The PM should have experience with different project and task management tools (i.e. JIRA, PowerBI, ADO/TFS/Kanban, Git/Github, SharePoint and Confluence)
Working knowledge of various security best practices (i.e. TAA vendor selection)
Education
A bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent), and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Information Technology field are required.
