The incumbent is responsible for asset inventories, furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E) and other amenities in support of the region.
Maintains accountability for all assigned FF&E throughout the NDW region. Ensures all changes, replacements or transfers of FF&E are completed properly. Processes documentation for all FF&E and ensures all information is entered into the required database electronically. Schedules and oversees the performance of all regularly scheduled and unscheduled FF&E inventories monthly and annually. Ensures all discrepancies are investigated, notated and corrected.
Conducts investigation of inventory discrepancies and researches source data tracking transactions through previous actions to resolve errors and adjusts book inventory accordingly. Prepares reports for higher authority and analyzes, evaluates and implements instructions and notices from higher authority.
Perform other duties as assigned.

The position requires one year of work experience that demonstrates incumbent has a thorough knowledge of inventory and purchasing procedures, using computerized record keeping systems. Excel experience necessary to perform account reconciliations. Word processing application experience necessary to prepare written reports.
Knowledge of accounting techniques and procedures sufficient to understand account relationships within an extensive account structure of an automated system covering operations at a large number of organizational units and programs generating a wide variety of transactions.
The work at this level requires knowledge of standardized regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned.
Employees use a sound working knowledge of the structure of the local organization and the organizations serviced.
Employees use this knowledge and ability to perform a range of standard clerical assignments and to resolve recurring problems.
Knowledge of Non-Appropriated Fund regulations, procedures and policies is a plus. Possess effective communication skills, both orally and written, to peers and all levels of management. Must possess basic math and reading skills.

Work involves the performance of a wide variety of analytical and technical financial administration functions related to a large organization with multiple operating locations. The employee works at the advanced level dealing with all areas. Writing skills and grammar must be at a level to allow the production, review and edit of training materials, user manuals and policy/procedure statements. The employee must understand the complete flow of data from original documents and point of entry to the final production of financial statements.
The employee conducts research, identifies problem areas within the NDW region and recommends adjustments. The employee communicates daily with managers, employees, and field activities to address issues and problems.
The purpose of this position is to provide support, guidance and expertise in all areas of inventory management. Provide necessary reports to meet division objectives, goals and overall program support. This position contributes to the division's effectiveness by providing accurate and timely information to allow senior management the opportunity to make better business decisions.
Personal contacts are internally and externally with managers and employees; field activities; and other external parties as necessary. These contacts require a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
Contacts are made to coordinate and/or obtain information relating to the management of inventory and to provide purchasing support. Must be able to satisfactorily resolve issues that may arise in the normal course of business.
This position is required to do considerable standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and climbing. Must have ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds is required. Assisted lifting, moving, and carrying up to 100 pounds may be required. May be required to climb/descend stairs.
There will be demanding days both mentally and physically. Long periods in front of a computer monitor doing routine processing and research.
The employee will be called upon to travel to other sites throughout the region.
Work is primarily performed indoors in areas that normally have adequate heat, light, and ventilation.
Must possess a valid state driver license, as travel to other facilities may be required within the normal scope of duties.
This position is subject to a satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check (NAC).
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
