Duties

Help

Assists in the operation of the camping/picnic programs. Collects fees and charges. Rents and issues recreation equipment. Checks eligibility of patrons. Accepts reservations for Outdoor Recreation facilities. Assists in monitoring the upkeep of grounds, camping facilities and equipment. Makes recurring security checks on grounds, camping facilities and equipment. Makes recurring security checks on grounds, marina, facilities, boats and moorings when Ground leader is not available. Assist in daily reports. Assists in monitoring activities (e.g. volksmarch, youth camps, hiking, scout camps, and etc). Performs other related duties as assigned. Works inside and outside in all types of weather such as heat, cold, and rain. May come in contact with strong cleaning agents when working in the housekeeping department. Danger of falls from slippery surfaces or when working on ladders. May operate government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart etc. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • This position requires that you are a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years and must reside in/around the area as noted in the Job Opportunity Announcement.

  • This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Qualifying Experience:

1. Must have practical skill in the use and maintenance of various equipment and facilities.
2. Must have a basic knowledge of the rules and practices of outdoor recreation activities.
