Duties

Help

Conducts day to day operations and maintenance of the FamCamp recreation facilities and equipment. Utilizes RecTrac or other computer software for point of sales system and FamCamp Site payments. Maintains and administers accurate waiting lists. Completes sales documentation and performs teh full range of cash management and accountability duties which may include collecting dishonored checks and analyzing and correcting errors. Accepts payment for a variety of equipment items, facilities, classes and programmed special events. Processes monthly usage reports, site listings by customer, and site checkout reports. Processes cash, check, and credit card payments and fills out daily financial reports. Inspects facilities, grounds and equipment in order to assess the need for maintenace or repair. Maintains cleanliness and appearance of facilities as directed by supervisor to include emptying trash containers, emptying pet waste disposal system, emptying tgrash cans, cleaning restroom, shower, and laundry room facilities as needed. Answers telephone calls and receives visitors supplying requested inforamtin for own knowledge or refers caller to appropriate source. Informs customers of FamCamp policies, rules, and procedures and enforces the rules accordingly. Demonstrates and sells retail merchandise directly to customers. Assists with setup, facilitation, and clean up of special FamCamp events. Decorates and arranges display area, develops proposals for merchandise, and informs supervisor concerning status of product sales and rentals. Provides quality customer service. May train lower graded personnel or volunteers on operation of the FamCamp. Operates assigned vehicles as required or directed. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists in the Outdoor Recreation Operations Center or other areas of the operation as needed.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience which provided a working knowledge of recreation activities, equipment, rules and procedures.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
