Duties

Help

This position is located with the 214th ATKG in Tucson, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to provide munitions support to the state and designated agencies in support of their taskings. This dual status technician position requires military membership.

  • ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air National Guard, in a military position assigned to 162d WG.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver’s license.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E5/SSgt- E7/MSgt

Compatible Military Assignments: 2W071

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 18 months experience or training in repairing, rebuilding, modifying, and testing a variety of major subassemblies. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair in major components consisting of numerous assemblies, interrelated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies, and components. Experience in the use of precision measurement equipment. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials.

Education

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):

1.Knowledge in managing custody accounts.

2.Knowledge in allocation management, transfers and forecasting IAW applicable regulations.

3.Ability to receive, assemble, issue, identify, inspect, store and deliver conventional aerospace munitions such as bombs, missiles, starter cartridges, flares, egress munitions, etc.

4.Knowledge to operate the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS) in accordance with applicable regulations and manuals.

5.Skilled to determine the status of munitions which have been restricted or suspended from use.
