Duties

Help
  • Serve as a Health System Specialist and subject matter expert in Credentials and Privileging (CP) for the Defense Health Network (DHN).
  • Analyze data to identify systemic improvement opportunities to reduce or prevent undesired outcomes.
  • Monitor and prepare reports on the status of provider license, certification, and privileging status within the organization.
  • Utilize Centralized Credentialing Quality Assurance System working with the Centralized Credentials Verification Service.
  • Monitoring and processing clinical Adverse Actions/Summary Suspensions.
  • Providing guidance on Focused Professional Practice Evaluation, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation, and Impaired Healthcare Provider Program

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes demonstrated experience assisting with the Credentialing and Privileging actions for medical professionals to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission (TJC) standards; reviewing and providing directions on Adverse Clinical Actions making recommendations for improvements; AND utilizing computer software and hardware to prepare correspondence, maintain a database and able to prepare such items as reports, charts, and graphs for dissemination to higher level leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Education
