Summary

Serves as a technical authority with the understanding to perform or analyze qualitative and quantitative analysis in efforts to assess and improve network DNS, IP, and Internet services related to the DODIN.
Provides assistance and advice to users of DNS and IP services. Provides guidance to resolve processing problems.
Conducts interviews with users and generates requirements and system specifications for new or modified services and improving delivery of operational services.
Provides oversight and representation of DNS activity on panels and committees. Must be able to make decision and commitments based on interpretations of regulations and guidelines.
Provides and maintains comprehensive strategic plans; assesses policy needs and develops policies to govern IT activities; provides policy guidance to IT management, staff, and customers.
prepares IT budgets; identifies and addresses IT workforce planning and management issues.
Prepare schedules for completion of work for review by senior staff. Assures that production and accuracy requirements are met.
Provides advice, counsel and/or instruction to other team members on technical matters. Supports internal management processes to detect and deter waste, fraud, and abuse activities.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
Experience using software design, IT infrastructure, and project management principles to lead development projects and resolving critical issues to improve network Domain Name System (DNS), Internet Protocol, and Internet services.
