Duties

Help

Provides operational administration for the VB Directorate for the NAF Food and Beverage Operations Branch. Is knowledgeable of the overall membership program and can respond to general questions concerning the program content, procedures, and policies contained in the Air Force Club Membership Card contract with Chase Bank as well as club and associated Air Force Instructions (AFIs). Based on knowledge of the club membership card program and club program, prepares responses to USAF/A IS, MAJCOM and base inquiries, as well as congressional and other higher headquarters inquiries.
Uses varied functions of multiple office automation software to produce a wide range of documents, formats, etc. Uses word processing software to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print forms, memos, and letters and lengthy reports: used existing database or spreadsheet software to create, enter, revise, sort of calculate, and retrieve data for reports; and uses graphics software to provide graphs and charts for reports and presentations. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using personal computers or workstations that are networked or linked to other computers or workstations.
Prepares a wide variety of recurring and non-recurring correspondence. reports, and other documents. Composes correspondence. such as instructions, requests for information, and letters of acknowledgment or notification. Gathers and summarized information from files and documents for use in responding to inquiries, recognizing which information is or is not relevant to the issue at hand. Proofreads/edits correspondence and document for accuracy, format, punctuation, grammar, spelling and capitalization. Reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence and materials. Screens incoming mail and electronic messages to identify what needs to worked or referred to appropriate staff, or handled personally. Reviews outgoing correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, conformance with administrative requirements. and factual correctness and accuracy. Personally answer nontechnical requests for information such as status of reports, club data, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files or form knowledge of the organization.
Provides follow-up on requests for information. Establishes, updates, and maintains office records and metrics of various types. Uses a variety of automated systems (e.g. records management, electronic forms, electronic publications library, Club Work, CST AT, etc.) and non automated to perform various operational duties. Uses tracker or suspense files as required. The supervisor makes assignments by defining objectives, priorities, and deadlines. The employee works independently, using a general understanding of the expected outcomes and the scope of the assignments, and draws upon experience in resolving the more difficult situations that occasionally arise. The work is reviewed for technical accuracy, soundness of judgment, and adherence to program requirements and objectives. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience with a wide variety of concepts pertaining to the operation. support, and computerized office organization as gained through hands-on experience with a military environment. Experience developing and writing Air Force correspondence.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Incumbent must be capable of working a variety of issues at different levels simultaneously, with professional and nonprofessional personnel.

1- Experience with specific software programs that include the Microsoft Office Professional Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
2- Capable of working a variety of issues at different levels simultaneously with professional and non-professional personnel
3- Highly organized and a self-starter
