Duties

Help

Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees within the Custodial Department at Pine View Campground. Performs opening and closing duties within the Outdoor Recreation program to include Whitetail Ridge Ski Area during Winter months.
Assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily basis. Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance.
Supports the activity by assisting in cleaning of cabins, yurts, duplexes, campers, and facilities. Oversees Pineview Campground Camp Hosts.
Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet recreational needs including a variety of multi-disciplinary events such as ski lessons, social activities, tournaments and other major programs and observances.
Assists with training new personnel. Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include Supervisor of Minor checks.
A one year probationary period may be required.

Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
Seven-day operation. Must be able to work irregular duty hours that may include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume.

Must have knowledge of a wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities.
Must have basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding for supplies and equipment.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English).
Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.

Highly Preferred Criteria: (All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit).

One year experience supervising staff.
One year Hospitality experience.

Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
