U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. The Area of Consideration is within the local commuting area of Hohenfels.

Duties

Help
  • Prepares and serves food items which include, but are not limited to, hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy, lemonade drinks, etc.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly. Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Skill and Knowledge: Able to work alone. Know the proper use of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Know simple food handling techniques. Able to work safely.
  • Able to serve uniform individual portions and avoid distractions when several guests ask for different items at the same time. Able to use simple arithmetic.
  • Receives verbal and written assignments. Is expected to work as scheduled and to know what steps are needed to complete the work. Accomplishes work on own initiative. Work is evaluated for accuracy, promptness and good customer relations.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • This position may require a health screening. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment for serving alcoholic beverages. (Age 18 years of age).
  • Requires constantly standing, stooping, bending, walking and reaching.
  • Must be able to work rotating shift, to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  1. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
  2. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.

  • The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is the local commuting area of Hohenfels. The surrounding/commuting area is within approximately 100 miles and includes the communities of Vilseck, Ansbach and Grafenwoehr. PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
